Thesis proposes a learning intervention for pupils in the 4º of ESO in the subject of Geography and History. To begin with, we have contextualized the scenario of the Spanish Civil War in the province of Jaén, as well as existing vestiges, with special emphasis on bomb shelters, which were safe places used during the air raids suffered by civilians at the rear. It is crucial to place a value on the role of womens in such spaces and on how they —by taking charge of care work, fighting on the republican front, and doing work attributed to men up until then— managed to forge a path of their own and became a fundamental part of a war scenario in which history to dismiss their contribution. It is of the essence to make the public aware of the importance of preserving vestiges of the Civil War and of the role of womens.
