The aim was to analyze the latest treatments carried out with adolescent population. It was focused on their effectiveness. This is due to the fact that suicidal ideation can result in self harm, and it can result in suicide attempt. The search was carried out in the 3 online databases with “suicide” and “adolescent” criteria. 29 studies were analyzed, and it was found that despite a high variety of treatments, they were almost effective, or potentially effective, standing out the effectiveness in ideation and suicide attempts, which are the most usual measures. These studies have been compared based on whether the social support to be improved is focused on families, other adults, peers, or is getting through the therapist; if it focused on acquiring skills; or if it focused on a specific risk factor. In conclusion, the importance of choosing the treatment according to the target population is pointed out.
