[EN]Psychotic experiences, such as hallucinations, are phenomena that cause different dysfunctions in distinct areas of the patients’ life. In many cases medication fails to downregulate these symptoms, which makes the application of psychological treatments necessary. The aim of the present study was to verify the effectiveness of cognitive- behavioral techniques, based on the focus of hallucinations and reduction of anxiety (Bentall, Haddock y Slade, 1994), as a treatment for hallucinations of a patient diagnosed with schizophrenia. Measures of psychotic symptoms, emotional disturbances and quality of life were taken. After the application of the treatment, an improvement in the quality of life perceived by the patient was observed, as well as a decrease in some dimensions of hallucinations and in anxiety and depression symptoms. Results and limitations of the study are discussed at the end of the work.
