It is essential that an opportunity and freedom of action be granted from childhood to acquire the necessary skills for daily life and grow independently. However, a disorder or disease can negatively influence the development of autonomy. Sometimes, there is overprotection on the part of the family, even in tasks that individuals are capable of performing. That is why my proposal arises with the aim of developing an intervention program to promote personal autonomy in students with autism spectrum disorder. Through the proposed sessions and a motivating methodology based on games, strategies, and skills necessary for adequate development of personal autonomy are acquired. Additionally, there is an improvement in their self-image and greater personal satisfaction by being able to autonomously perform activities necessary for daily life.
