[EN]Through a game of metaphors, we will separate the Spanish Baroque opera La guerra de los gigantes (‘The Giants War’) of Sebastián Durón (1660-1716) by making it pass through a prism as if it were a ray of light. We will use the system: work-prism-separation, as an allegory to discover all the realities of which its music and performance speak. To get this, we will connect the colours of the light spectrum with each concept, with each part of the story, asking ourselves what colour are its characters, instruments, harmonies, musical structures, and textures to finally reveal several concepts hidden in this opera, concepts that reflect metaphors that we could translate into our reality, and that include emotions that talk about ourselves. Concepts that remain unaltered as a live issue at present.
