[EN]Against the belief that in the books of chivalry all female characters respond to an idealized image, the study of the works of palmeriniano cycle shows that they have a complex, essential and necessary identity within the narrative framework. The aim of this work is to banish the idea that all female characters are stereotyped and not experience any evolution in story, preparing an analysis of those with a significant presence to set his literary image in response to the physical characterization and behavior. Admitting that these two aspects are important and complementary for study, a new way to understand these characters as entities with some independence in the narrative, which in turn are essential for the knight in such a significant genre would begin as was the books of chivalry in the sixteenth century.
