Due to the increase in the number of elderly people in Spain and it has been shown that active aging is one of the main keys to a healthy population, promoting cognitive exercise regularly is a strategy to achieve an improvement or maintenance health. Keywords: cognitive training, older people, quality of life, aging. Objective. Evaluate the effects of cognitive training program could have on cognitive performance in healthy older adults. Materials and methods. We take a corporal UN Slitting experimental study using a pre -treatment design – postest. Involved a total of 32 subjects (72.13 ± 4.42 years), 12 were assigned to a control group (71.25 ± 4.31 years) which was not subjected to a training and 20 to an experimental group (72 65 ± 4.51 years) who I carried out a cognitive training over a period of 9 weeks. Results. The experimental group presented improvement in their cognitive performance following participation in training, while the control group worsened their cognitive abilities. Conclusion. A cognitive training program is an improvement or maintenance of cognitive abilities in people 65 and older without cognitive impairment.
