[EN] The main aim of this research is to analyse how the English students learn Spanish as a second language. We begin by evaluating pupils' current level by means of surveys and field research, so that, once all the data have been collected, we can use them to make a lesson plan that reinforces students’ main weaknesses. Not only do we study language in this project, but we also deal with Spanish culture. During this research, we have observed that students are interested in learning about Spanish lifestyle and traditions regardless of their grammatical gaps, which will thus be the main focus of our didactic proposal. The conclusions drawn show that, although students have leeway for improvement, their general level is fairly acceptable and there is hope for the future of the Spanish language in England.
