This project develops a teaching proposal that aims to serve as a guide for addressing family diversity and gender stereotypes in Early Childhood Education. These are very important topics since there are not many programs or materials that address the topic. We must teach students to appropriately express their emotions so that they can later normalize and make visible the different family models we can find in our society, given that unconventional families have increased in the last decade. Gender stereotypes are social constructs that create expectations about the role each person should play based on their gender. These preconceived ideas are transmitted generationally through socializing agents, such as school, family, and language. The overall goal is to highlight different family models, overcome gender stereotypes in the education system, and promote environments that foster gender equality.
