(EN) The first objective of this review was to analyze the educational style presented by children who engage in VFP and whether they differ from those who do not. A second objective was to examine the relationship between VFP and educational styles. Finally, the third objective was to analyze the contribution of different educational styles in the prediction of VFP. Studies in English and Spanish since 2010 were reviewed from the databases: PsycINFO, ERIS, Scielo, identifying 10 relevant studies. It was found that the characteristic educational style in adolescents who practice VFP is permissive, while adolescents who do not practice VFP present a democratic educational style. In addition, FVP is positively related to the permissive style while a negative relationship is found with the democratic style. On the contrary, empirical evidence is found that the negligent and authoritarian styles predict the occurrence of VFP.
