(EN)Pronunciation in the study of French as a foreign language has been a competence that has taken a back seat to other skills since the emergence of the first foreign language learning methodologies. Over the years, other modern methodologies have tried to emphasize it more, given its importance in language learning. Unfortunately, the emergence of new approaches has brought it back to square one. With the aim of returning pronunciation to its place as an indisputable element in the acquisition of a foreign language, we are going to carry out a comparative analysis of both the phonic systems of Spanish (standard and Eastern Andalusian) and French (standard), to observe their similarities and differences, and then we are going to develop a learning situation focused on improving pronunciation based on the verb-tonal methodology.
