[EN] Burnout syndrome is defined as a psychological syndrome of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and a reduction in personal performance, which negatively affects both the physical and mental health of professionals due to some job changes (Maslach, 1993). The implementation of Emotional Intelligence (EI) intervention programs has determined that it can reduce the stress levels of secondary school teachers, since through EI we help the knowledge, understanding and regulation of emotions. The objective of this work is the implantation of an emotional intelligence intervention program with the objective of reducing the levels of exhaustion in secondary school teachers through the training of their skills of perception, facilitation, understanding and emotional regulation. Likewise, this intervention program also tries to enhance teachers' quality of life and psychological well-being levels. To do this, a quasi-experimental study will be carried out with a sample of 58 teachers of Compulsary Secondary Education from two institutes in the province of Granada.
