Addressing the study of “the rural spaces, livestock and fishing activities” on compulsory secondary education, takes the necessity of tackling food crisis and the answers to it, presented from food sovereignty and agroecology. The proposed teaching unit will developed from the root of the already existing social issue: food crisis derived from the global agrifood system. Once this has been raised, solutions offered by the ruling power will be discussed, as well as the ones created by producers and consumers of food affected by crisis and food safety: food-sovereignty and agro-ecology. This academic work will attempt to create and develop a didactic methodology close to social constructivism, based on participation and cooperation, in which the teachers, students and people involved with building food sovereignty, will act as horizontally as possible.
