NATURALEZA EN LA MÚSICA: Una aproximación al elemento natural en la música contemporánea a través del leguaje de Oliver Messiaen.

Abstract

[ES] La naturaleza ha sido uno de los elementos más recurrentes e importantes para muchos compositores a lo largo de la historia de la música. En las estructuras clásicas podemos apreciar con cierta facilidad dicho elemento, pero en la música contemporánea, debido a su complejidad, el hecho de poder hallarlo se nos complica. Oliver Messiaen (⁕1908; †1992) es considerado uno de los padres de la Segunda Escuela de Viena y por tanto uno de los padres de la música contemporánea. Durante el desarrollo de esta investigación, se indaga en la presencia de la naturaleza en la música a través de un estudio analítico del VII movimiento del Cuarteto Para el Fin de los Tiempos de Oliver Messiaen, mostrando cómo es posible representar en una composición elementos naturales a través de elementos musicales. Otro elemento recurrente en la música es la teología. Desde el inicio del conocimiento el ser humano ha sentido la necesidad de creer en una fuerza superior para afrontar el miedo a lo desconocido y hacia la muerte. Este elemento se mantiene presente en la música contemporánea y a través del análisis anteriormente mencionado veremos cómo lo aborda el compositor.
