[EN]The aim of the study was to know the effect of a Pilates program in a population with Fibromyalgia. Longitudinal study of twelve weeks of duration, in which the participants (n=37) were distributed in two groups: G1 (n=18) who took Pilates classes during twice a week; G2 (n=19) was the control group, that don´t do any physical activity unless the activities do in their usual life. Questionnaire of impact of fibromyalgia in quality of life was passed and also a visual analog scale of pain (VAS), and a stabilometry was done with the help of a FreeMed® Model BASE platform and FreeStep© Standard software, in week 0 and 12. The results showed that Pilates Method (PM) decrease significantly the impact of the illness in the quality of life of the patients; the pain intensity and the stabilometry showed that PM improves both variables, but there are no significant changes.
