The current organizational context is more dynamic, complex and competitive than ever, so the main function of the people in charge of organizations is to cope with the changes that occur and adapt in the best possible way to guarantee their survival. Therefore, in this paper, we are going to carry out an in-depth analysis of the organizational dynamics in the case of the leading hotel chain in Spain: Meliá Hotels International S.A., a Spanish family group with more than sixty years of experience in the hotel sector, which has been adapting over time to the changing environment and, thus, has achieved its current national and international leadership positions. The objective is, firstly, to address an adequate theoretical framework, and, secondly, to carry out an extensive analysis on the way MHI manages organizational change.
