PREVENCIÓN DEL ABANDONO ESCOLAR EN SOCIEDADES DESFAVORABLES: LA ETNIA GITANA

Resumen
Una de las poblaciones más vulnerables al fracaso escolar es la de la etnia gitana. Esto
es debido a que la cultura de este alumnado prioriza el ingreso al mundo laboral antes
que la formación. Por ello, se ha llevado a cabo un programa desde la Orientación
Educativa para prevenir el abandono y fracaso escolar de este grupo de alumnado,
así como asegurar su mejor inclusión en el aula. Se han abordado las tres áreas de la
Orientación Educativa, que son la Acción Tutorial, la Orientación Académica y
Profesional y la Atención a la diversidad. Se ha diseñado una serie de actividades para
conseguir los objetivos propuestos, las cuales serán llevadas a cabo en parte por los
tutores y por otra parte por el propio alumnado.

This is due to the fact that the culture of these students prioritizes entering the world of work before training. For this reason, a program has been carried out from the Educational Orientation to prevent dropout and school failure of this group of students, as well as to ensure their better inclusion in the classroom. A series of activities has been designed to achieve the proposed objectives, which will be carried out in part by the tutors and on the other hand by the students themselves.
