[EN]This research aims to shed light on the debate related to the autonomy of women beneficiaries of the Bolsa Familia Program. The paper does not intend to put the relevance of the public policy in terms of access to basic rights by its beneficiaries into question, but to analyze the existence of a gender perspective in its execution, or the need to incorporate cross-cutting gender issues in the Program. In addition to the principles inherent to Human Rights and social rights, this work aims to achieve its objectives and respond to the research problem through a gender perspective, in order to make an intersectional analysis of poverty and the empowerment of women through public policies that contemplate the idiosyncrasies assigned to the different contexts of race and gender in Brazil, verifying if there is a commitment to combat gender inequalities, which makes the situation of poverty even harder for women in relation to men.
