La adolescencia es un período complicado para todos los adolescentes que están sumergidos en esta etapa, son continuos los cambios físicos, psicológicos y sociales a los que están sometidos, derivando estos en conflictos internos y externos.
A menudo no somos conscientes de que ni los propios adolescentes son capaces de controlar todos estos cambios y que a ellos, también les pueden afectar de una forma negativa. Uno de los errores que solemos cometer, es achacar una mala actitud, decaimiento, cambios frecuentes de humor, al hecho de estar en la adolescencia, sin darles más importancia.
En muchos casos esta correlación será verdadera, pero en otros, puede que tengamos ante nuestros ojos evidencias claras de un adolescente con depresión, y no somos capaces de verlo, porque camuflamos a esta persona tras la adolescencia, esa complicada etapa que tarde o temprano pasará.
La depresión afecta cada vez más y con más fuerza a personas jóvenes, uno de cada ocho jóvenes se encuentra deprimido.
De una u otra forma es un deber, ofrecerles una Orientación Educativa, para que logren el éxito escolar y las competencias básicas que cualquier docente desea para su alumnado. Adoptar actitudes de prevención y de afrontamiento para que el resultado final sea, una mejora en el rendimiento académico, y sobre todo una mejora en la calidad de vida.
Adolescence is a difficult period for all teenagers who are immersed in this stage are continuous physical, psychological and social changes to which they are subject, deriving these, internal and external conflicts. Often we are not aware that neither the teenagers are able to control all these changes and that they too can affect them in a negative manner. One of the mistakes that we often make is to attribute a bad attitude, decay, frequent mood swings, to being in adolescence, without giving more importance. In many cases this correlation is true, but in others, we may have before our eyes clear evidence of a teenager with depression, and we fail to see it because we disguise this person after adolescence, this difficult period will sooner or later. Depression affects more and more strongly to young people, one in eight young people are depressed. Either way is essential, offer an educational orientation to achieve school success and basic skills that any teacher you want for your students. Adopt prevention attitudes and coping so that the final result is an improvement in academic performance, and above all, improved quality of life.
