Myths, legends and tales have fascinated generation after generation for centuries, and each age group have been interested in their own country-based literary work as much as the one created overseas. That’s why, I include myself among loving reader of mythological tradition. The starting point for this piece of writing has been The Classical Myth of the Pygmalion, its recurrence in literary creation, and its reflection on psychology. Within its latest literary styles, we have first studied its lyrical poetry and literary passage regarding the myth, to do this we have compared both approaches. And later, we have look into short story with great interest, homonymous of the myth, by Vázquez Montalbán; and the stage play by Grau.
