For academic performance, "grades in the different areas of the primary school curriculum" were used. Analyses showed that pupils with good physical condition were associated with better grades in Language, Maths, Science, Physical Education, Art, Music and English (p<0.05). It is concluded that most of the components of physical fitness (cardiorespiratory fitness, strength, jumping and balance) are positively related to children's academic results.
