(EN) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder of neurobiological origin, beginning in childhood. It usually manifests after 18 months, being more common in males. This disorder is characterized by the deficiencies present in social communication, both verbal and nonverbal, in addition to showing stereotyped and repetitive behaviors, great inflexibility in routines, very restricted interests, as well as hyper or hyporeactivity. A theory that has stood out within this disorder has been the Theory of Mind, which is aimed at the great difficulty that children with autism show in attributing different mental states, both to themselves and to other people, in addition to difficulty in interaction and social communication. Within this theory, there are different degrees of difficulty, among which, this intervention will focus on the interpretation of basic emotions, as well as on the metaphor.
