[EN]The aim of this study was to analyse the short-term acute effect of a specific high intensity interval training (HIIT) in mathematical calculation, language reasoning, attention and creativity. The sample was made up by 156 teenagers (81 C.G. and 75 E.G). Mathematical calculation and language skills were evaluated by own elaboration testing. Caras-R test was utilised to analyse attention while CREA test was utilised to analyse creativity. The analysis showed that high intensity physical activity improves language skills and attention. There was no real difference in mathematical calculation and creativity. Talking about gender, this type of training clearly benefit female. Male tend to keep the same results throughout the academic day. Therefore, practising high intensity physical activity at the beginning of the academic day not only has no negative effect in students but also could improve academic performance.
