incorporando motivos propiamente franceses.
(EN) A study of the new royal representation with the establishment of the House of Bourbon that will mean the arrival of new painters from France who will be commissioned with works that will no longer continue that model of the Austrias. It is proposed to analyze this transition from examples of the reign of Carlos II to the first official portraits of Felipe V, who ascended to the spanish throne when the last Habsburg died without offspring. Thanks to the portraits, the new monarch will be made known to the spanish subjects looking for a way to be accepted, always maintaining hispanic symbolic elements while he incorporates tipically french motifs. This union of accessories from both dynasties plus the intervention of painters such as Jean Ranc or Van Loo will form an imagen of the sovereign that will exert great influence for upcoming reigns.
