The present Final Degree Project consists of an intervention design to check the effects and physiological benefits of human-animal interaction (HAI). To carry out the design, the physiological variables are measured (blood pressure and heart rate) of three groups of schoolchildren from different centers; of which a group is taken as control (group accompanied by a stuffed dog) and two experimental groups (group accompanied by one person and group accompanied by a dog trained in assisted dog intervention (DAI)) who will be subjected to social stress. Our goal is to demonstrate that the dog is the best form of social support than the other two companions and that the physiological variables will be less pronounced in the groups accompanied by the dogs.
