One of the main behavioral regularities refers to the fact that men are more inclined to be competitive than women. This paper presents the design of a field economic experiment with the purpose of identifying whether women's rejection of competitive jobs may be one of the causes contributing to increase the labor gap. For this purpose, behavioral economics is the main support on which the design of this experiment is focused. The approach is designed to measure how gender stereotyped decisions hinder women's occupational and career advancement when presented with two payment systems.
