[EN]By realizing this Master's Thesis, it is sought as main objective to design a course lesson plan to educate and raise students' awareness in respect and tolerance towards the culture, tradition and heritage of England through introduction in the English classroom. This will be done by means of the presentation of a didactic unit as part of the syllabus of the fourth course of Compulsory Secondary Education in the Secondary School ‘Salvador Serrano’ in Alcaudete. I reflected on this idea in order to establish a background for the study English, a language that has transcended the borders of its country of origin to become a global language nowadays. The understanding of English culture and tradition is of vital importance when it comes to facilitating the assimilation of their language, even more if we take into account its complexity. Moreover, across this project development other objectives are also searched in parallel such as the study of aspects of grammar and vocabulary connected to cultural practices like Past Tenses, Passive voice, sports vocabulary or phrasal verbs. Likewise, it is searched the adaptation of the student to a modern world characterized by globalization, the exchange of cultures, the growing need of going sightseeing and experience new gastronomies, etc. Finally a didactic unit is presented, in which a methodology for approaching these targets is proposed by using a series of activities, videos, online resources, presentations, etc. Furthermore, this lesson planning seeks to promote the four communicative competences (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and the performance of a final task related to the gastronomy of the community concerned. Key words English culture, Lesson plan, English language teaching, Secondary Education.
