[es] En este proyecto se abordará el estudio y posterior desarrollo en el ámbito de una instrumentación muy relevante en esta tecnología: el OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) equipo usado para la localización de pérdidas y roturas en circuitos de fibra óptica.
Específicamente, se llevará a cabo el análisis reflectométrico de una red FTTH establecida en el laboratorio de comunicaciones ópticas de la EPSL, haciendo uso y comparando los resultados entre un OTDR profesional y el software a desarrollar en este trabajo. Dicho software se encargará de detectar y analizar distintos eventos localizados en las señales que se han obtenido del circuito mencionado. Finalmente, tras una serie de interpretaciones respecto al análisis que realiza el OTDR profesional, se llegará a la conclusión de que el software elaborado cumple las expectativas depositadas en este proyecto, además de conseguir un gran resultado tanto en el aspecto gráfico como en su sencillo manejo.
[en] This project will address the study and subsequent development in the field of very relevant instrumentation in this technology: the OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), equipment used to locate losses and breaks in fiber optic circuits. Specifically, the reflectometric analysis of an FTTH network established in the optical communications laboratory of the EPSL will be carried out, using and comparing the results between a professional OTDR and the software to be developed in this work. Said software will be in charge of detecting and analyzing different events located in the signals that have been obtained from the mentioned circuit. Finally, after a series of interpretations regarding the analysis carried out by the professional OTDR, it will be concluded that the developed software meets the expectations placed in this project, in addition to achieving a great result both in the graphic aspect and in its simple handling.
