RELACIÓN ENTRE AUTOESTIMA, AUTOCONCEPTO, LA CONDICIÓN FÍSICA Y EL RENDIMIENTO ESCOLAR EN ESTUDIANTES DE ESO: UN ESTUDIO DESCRIPTIVO

Resumen
[ES]El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar de forma transversal las relaciones que se pueden
encontrar entre el autoconcepto, la autoestima y la condición física y cómo estas repercuten en
el rendimiento académico de estudiantes de secundaria. Para dicho propósito se evaluaron
durante dos semanas a los alumnos de un instituto de la provincia de Jaén, mediante los
cuestionarios de Rosenberg y el AF-5, así como se realizaron unas pruebas físicas para
determinar su condición física. La población fue de 228 alumnos de los cuales el 54,8 % fueron
chicos (n = 125) y el 45,2 % fueron chicas (n = 103). La edad promedio fue de 13,85 ± 1,220
años. Después de tomar datos y realizar un análisis estadístico con el SPSS, se pudo comprobar
que no había relaciones significativas entre las variables estudiadas con el rendimiento
académico.

[EN]The objective of this study was to analyze in a transversal way the relationships that can be found between self-concept, self-esteem and physical condition and how they affect the academic performance of secondary school students. For this purpose, students from an institute in the province of Jaén were evaluated for two weeks, using the Rosenberg and AF-5 questionnaires, as well as physical tests to determine their physical condition. The population was 228 students, of which 54.8% were boys (n = 125) and 45.2% were girls (n = 103). The average age was 13.85 ± 1,220 years. After taking data and performing a statistical analysis with the SPSS, it can be verified that there were no significant relationships between the variables studied with academic performance.
