[EN] Exhausted olive pomace is an interesting raw material because it contains bioactive phenolicV compounds that can be used to produce new products. In this Final Degree Project, a green technology was applied, ultrasound‐assisted extraction, to obtain phenolic compounds (including hydroxytyrosol) using water as solvent. Subsequently, their purification was evaluated with activated carbon and a non‐ionic resin (Macronet MN202). It was studied the adsorption kinetics, adsorbent loading, and the desorption with aqueous ethanol solutions. The results indicated that the MN202 resin is, overall, more suitable for the recovery of phenolic compounds and hydroxytyrosol, which wasthe main compound of the purified extract.
