This Master's Thesis consists of the proposal of a pilot study to verify the impact of animal-assisted intervention in the adaptation period in the early childhood education stage. This study would be carried out in a class of the second cycle of early childhood education, in such a way that the classroom will be divided into two groups, implanting in one of them a program of adaptation to the conventional school and in the other an animal-assisted intervention would be carried out. The behaviors of the students will be evaluated through direct observation using a checklist as an instrument. After the intervention, it is expected that there will be significant differences between both groups, that is, that there are more adaptive and less maladaptive behaviors in the group in which the dog-assisted intervention is carried out.
