El mayor en soledad; Propuesta de intervención: Soledad en personas mayores institucionalizadas

Abstract

El último tramo del ciclo vital de la vida, representa para la sociedad la vejez con connotaciones puramente negativas, lleno de improductividad, aburrimiento, deterioro, tristeza y enfermedad. La sociedad marca con estas y otras muchas etiquetas al conjunto de personas mayores que lo forman, convirtiéndose en un grupo vulnerable, contraponiendo sus propias auto percepciones de personas. El esfuerzo que ellas realizan por adaptarse a la sociedad producen que con el paso del tiempo y de manera natural aparezcan deterioros de tipo físico y afectivo, favoreciendo a la aparición de la temida soledad. De esta manera deja de ser ese proceso de deseado descanso, tiempo libre y oportunidad. Son numerosas las casusas que pueden conllevar a la aparición este temido y subjetivo sentimiento de soledad y abandono. Es por todo ello, que este este trabajo tiene como finalidad, ver qué factores pueden influir en este sentimiento y lo que ello puede desencadenar en la persona mayor. Se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica, donde se ha indagado sobre el tema en cuestión desde diferentes estudios y autores. Posteriormente se ha hecho una propuesta futura de medición de diferentes escalas de emociones y de actividades para trabajar el efecto de mi tema central de trabajo, la soledad no deseada en personas institucionalizadas

The last part of the vital cycle of life, is considered by society as a reflection of old age with purely negative connotations, it is full of unproductiveness, boredom, deterioration, sadness and disease. Society points out these and many other labels the group of older people who form it, as a vulnerable group, contrasting their own self- perceptions of people. The effort that they make to adapt to society causes that with the pass of time and in natural way physical and affective deteriorations appear, favouring the appearance of the dreaded loneliness. In this way it ceases to be that process of desired rest, free time and opportunity. There are many causes that can lead to the appearance of this dreaded and subjective feeling of loneliness and abandonment. This is why this work aims to see what factors can influence in this feeling and what this can lead in the elderly. A bibliographic review has been carried out, where the subject in question has been investigated from different studies and authors. Afterwards, a future proposal has been made to measure emotions with various types of scales, and activities to work on the effect of my central work theme, unwanted loneliness in institutionalized people
