Resumen
(ES) El turismo en Tenerife, como su principal motor económico, ha experimentado un crecimiento continuo en las
últimas décadas. Esto ha intensificando la interacción entre la comunidad local y los turistas, generando tensiones y
competencia por los recursos. Este Trabajo Fin de Máster investiga la relación entre la población local y la actividad
turística, para detectar posibles signos de turismofobia en la isla. A través de una encuesta, se analizan las
percepciones de los residentes con el objetivo de comprender cómo impacta el turismo en su vida diaria. La
turismofobia es un fenómeno que surge en los destinos turísticos debido a la saturación, el impacto en la calidad de
vida o la pérdida de identidad cultural, entre otros. Para abordar este problema, es importante tener en cuenta las
opiniones de los residentes y trabajar con la industria turística para desarrollar estrategias que reduzcan su impacto
negativo.
