[EN] Given the lack of programs working to improve the psychological wellbeing of people with long-term unemployment, the current study aims to develop a pilot intervention program for this demographic based on therapeutic writing. Due to the low-cost, easy and safe nature of this type of therapy, we believe that it will serve as a turning point for the unemployed population. The main goal of this program is to improve life satisfaction and psychological well-being of the participants. The target population is twenty men between the ages of thirty and fifty-four years old. This study compiles the most recent statistics in Spain related to this population, the theoretical framework of therapeutic writing, its benefits, and activities to develop the program. The programmatic design is extremely practical and is composed of different thematic sessions such as self-knowledge, guilt, conflict resolution, optimism and expressive writing about traumatic experiences.
