(EN)Teaching experience can highlight the differences that exist when teaching subjects in Spanish or through a foreign language. Through this research it has been possible to verify that there is a lack of studies that provide information on the teaching of humanities subjects using the English language, and more specifically related to artistic expression, such as the subject of Artistic Drawing I. As a result of this knowledge a work has been developed to improve the teaching of this subject, which is taught with preadolescent students. Therefore, this study has focused on determining the difficulties in teaching and learning artistic subjects in English by analysing the factors that hinder learning. For this, students and teachers of content and English language have been questioned. In addition, measures are proposed to achieve an improvement in the teaching of the subject of Artistic Drawing I.
