El cine árabe. Película saudí: La bicicleta verde.

Abstract

Mi Trabajo de Fin de Grado va a desarrollarse sobre el cine árabe. En primer lugar, indagaremos sobre la historia del cine árabe, la evolución que ha sufrido desde sus orígenes hasta ahora. Después, explicaremos las películas más destacadas dentro del cine árabe. Para finalizar con este apartado, nos centraremos en las censuras, como por ejemplo temas tabúes que no pueden mostrarse dentro de la industria cinematográfica, observando que la mayor parte de restricciones están focalizadas en la mujer, este tema nos conducirá al siguiente punto, el papel de la mujer. En este punto hablaremos sobre la mujer en el mundo árabe, centrándonos en las mujeres sauditas, ya que la película de la cual se desarrolla este proyecto es dirigida y protagonizada por mujeres saudíes, por tanto, en la película se reflejan las censuras explicadas en el apartado anterior y las prohibiciones que viven las mujeres en la sociedad árabe. A partir de todo esto, nos enfocaremos en la directora de la película Haifaa Al-Monsour, la primera cineasta saudí, para dar paso a comentar y reflexionar sobre la película mencionada anteriormente, titulada La bicicleta verde. Para finalizar el trabajo, haré una unidad didáctica enfocada en la mujer para relacionar el trabajo con mi carrera.

My end-of-degree project will be developed on the Arab cinema. The first places, we will investigate about the history of Arab cinema, the evolution that has suffered from its origins until now. Then, we will explain the most outstanding films within Arab cinema. To end this section, we will focus on censorship such as taboos that cannot be displayed within the film industry, noting that most of the restrictions are focused on women, this topic will lead us to the next point, the role of women. At this point we will talk about women in the Arab world, focusing on Saudi women, as the film from which this project is developed is directed and starred by Saudi women, so, the film reflects the censorship explained in the previous section and the prohibitions that women live in Arab society. Starting from this, we will focus on the director of the film Haifaa Al-Monsour, the first Saudi filmmaker, to give way to comment and reflect on the film mentioned above, titled La bicicleta verde. To finish the job, I will do a didactic unit focused on women to relate work to my career.
