FAKE NEWS AT HIGH SCHOOL: PROPUESTA DE INTERVENCIÓN EDUCATIVA EN COMPETENCIAS BÁSICAS PARA EDUCACIÓN EN DETECCIÓN DE NOTICIAS FALSAS (FAKE NEWS) Y MANIPULACIÓN A TRAVÉS DE LA RED

[ES]En 2004, Ralph Keyes bautizó esta época como la “era de la posverdad”, debido a que la ficción construida socialmente sustituye muchas veces la realidad. Y uno de los principales motivos por lo que esto sucede es la inmediatez, principal característica de la comunicación actual. Este entorno, propiciado por el desarrollo de las Nuevas Tecnologías, favorece que noticias falsas —muchas veces diseñadas por grupos de poder interesados en manipular a la población— sean enviadas de forma masiva y transmitidas por usuarios que no verifican previamente las fuentes. En el presente TFM se abordará este fenómeno, mediante una propuesta cuyo objetivo es alfabetizar al alumnado sobre esta problemática desde la asignatura Educación plástica y visual. Para ello se empleará una metodología de proyectos orientada a viralizar una “noticia falsa”, cuyo contenido sea una infografía creada por el alumnado en el que se aborde el proceso necesario para identificar una fake new.

Inmediacy is characteristic of the actual internet communication era. This social environment, involved by new technologies, stimulates fake news —many times sent by power groups interested in manipulating population— to be massively spread and propelled by users that do not verify the sources previously. That is why, throughout this Master Degree Final Project in the Plastic and Visual Education area, It is going to be offer an educative proposal, aimed to enlighten students on this issue. For that reason, it is goig to be employed a project approach method focused on the construction and viralization of fake news, whose content will be an infographic work made by the students in order to tackle the design and layout process; as well as to improve the cognitive capabilities that are required to identify fake news.
