Evolución de los Derechos e Igualdad de la Mujer en el Medio Rural

Abstract

El papel de los Estados es fundamental para garantizar el desarrollo inclusivo y sostenible y los derechos de las mujeres rurales. Es importante destacar que las mujeres se consideran agentes fundamentales para conseguir dicho desarrollo. Es un avance positivo que, la igualdad y discriminación que históricamente han sufrido las mujeres se esté poniendo de relieve por parte de organizaciones políticas y gubernamentales nacionales e internacionales desde hace décadas. En el presente trabajo se pretende dejar claro cual, ha sido el papel de organizaciones como Naciones Unidas o la Unión Europea en la creación de mecanismos contra de discriminación que la mujer rural ha padecido, está padeciendo y posiblemente padezca durante los próximos años, La evolución en materia legislativa, el avance y los derechos conseguidos, los retos a los que nos enfrentamos, y como deberíamos encarar al futuro, serán algunas de las cuestiones analizadas en el presente trabajoThe role of the States is essential to guarantee inclusive and sustainable development and the rights of rural women. It is important to highlight that women are considered fundamental agents to achieve such development. It is a positive development that the equality and discrimination that women have historically suffered has been highlighted by political organizations and national and international governments for decades. In the present work it is intended to make clear what has been the role of organizations such as the United Nations or the European Union in the creation of mechanisms against discrimination that rural women have suffered, are suffering and possibly will suffer during the coming years. Legislative matters, progress and the rights obtained, the challenges we face, and how we should face the future, will be some of the issues analyzed in this paper
