(EN)One of the effects of the influence of current advances is found in the quality of life, which translates into greater longevity. This is the cause of a high percentage of neurodegenerative diseases, where dementia, and more specifically Alzheimer's dementia, has become one of the greatest health concerns worldwide. This condition is characterized by gradual damage to reasoning, executive, and communication functions, as well as emotional, behavioral, and social areas, as a consequence of the neurocognitive impairment experienced. Faced with this, the intervention with music therapy, proposed as an intervention strategy, seeks to restore, maintain and/or improve physical, emotional, social, cognitive and psychological well-being, reducing the symptoms linked to the progression of dementia. Along with these benefits, it is expected to restore the link between music and emotions to improve the lives of patients.
