EL CO2 Y LA PROBLEMÁTICA AMBIENTAL. UNA PROPUESTA DIDÁCTICA PARA EDUCACIÓN SECUNDARIA

Resumen
[ES]A consecuencia del desarrollo científico-tecnológico de los últimos siglos se ha generado
una nueva situación en la que la actividad humana es capaz de generar riesgos que
amenazan la salud del planeta. Ante dicha situación es indispensable fomentar la
alfabetización científica y la educación basada en valores en los adolescentes, puesto
que esta etapa de educación obligatoria es crucial para el desarrollo de actitudes
sostenibles con el medio ambiente.
Por esta razón se ha diseñado una propuesta didáctica basada en el estudio del dióxido
de carbono, uno de los principales gases de efecto invernadero, y los problemas
ambientales globales originados por el aumento de los niveles de estos gases a causa de
actividades antropogénicas. Con el propósito de fomentar el interés y la motivación del
alumnado en el aula y lograr un aprendizaje significativo de los conceptos científicos
relacionados con este tema, se han utilizado diferentes metodologías innovadoras
basadas en aprendizajes de tipo experiencial, por proyectos y problemas, por indagación
o en el uso de simulaciones entre otros.

[EN]As a result of the scientific-technological development of the last centuries, a new situation has been generated in which human activity is capable of generating risks that threaten the health of the planet. Given this situation, it is essential to promote scientific literacy and values-based education in adolescents, since this stage of compulsory education is crucial for the development of sustainable attitudes towards the environment. For this reason, a didactic proposal has been designed based on the study of carbon dioxide, one of the main greenhouse gases, and the global environmental problems caused by the increase in the levels of these gases due to anthropogenic activities. In order to promote the interest and motivation of students in the classroom and achieve significant learning of the scientific concepts related to this topic, different innovative methodologies based on experiential learning have been used, by projects and problems, by inquiry, in the use of simulations among others.
