(ES) George Orwell es uno de los autores más populares del siglo XX, que sigue siendo ampliamente
estudiado en la actualidad debido a su novela distópica 1984. Este proyecto de fin de grado se
centra en ofrecer una visión cultural, sociopolítica y literaria de la novela, a la vez que presta
atención a la discusión de los orígenes del género conocido como distopía y al análisis de las
razones por las que Orwell escribió 1984. Este proyecto también analiza la novela de Orwell,
explorando sus conceptos clave y realizando un análisis comparativo entre los principales
temas de la novela y las preocupaciones actuales.
(EN) George Orwell is one of the most popular twentieth-century authors. He is still widely studied nowadays due to his dystopian novel 1984. This final degree project focuses on providing a cultural, socio-political and literary overview of the novel, whilst also paying attention to the discussion of the origins of the genre known as dystopia and to the analysis of the reasons why Orwell might have written 1984. It also analyses Orwell's novel, exploring its key concepts and making a comparative analysis between the main issues of the novel and present-day concerns.
