[EN]We understand masculinities as a category in permanent, subjective and changing construction, which develops throughout the subject's experience. The definition of "man" and all the mental, attitudinal and behavioral structures that the subject adopts for himself with that, inevitably influences the relationship he has with the environment, and particularly with women. This study analyzes the discourse of a group of 16 men between 30 and 35 years of age in relation to their masculinities and places it in a social scenario, specifying these manifestations within their modes of relationship with the female gender. Beyond the traditional investigation of heterosexual men, we add the variable “sexual orientation” like a sample in order to obtain a renewed and differential perspective. The nature of the traits to analyze inclines this research towards a qualitative approach, developing through various in-depth interviews. After analyzing the data provided, we can conclude that our study hypotheses are mostly fulfilled, as we have common patterns of thinking and models of masculinity that provide an outline of the different dimensions of gay masculinity and their relationship with gender. Keywords: Masculinities, identity, gay, gender
