Resumen
El consumo de alcohol durante la adolescencia es una práctica muy extendida entre los jóvenes. En esta práctica el patrón de consumo que abunda en actualmente es el llamado ''Binge Drinking'' o atracón de fin de semana que consiste en la ingesta de cuatro copas en las mujeres y cinco en los hombres. Esta forma de beber conlleva unas consecuencias que se pueden observar en cambios a nivel neurológico en diferentes regiones cerebrales en desarrollo así como en la expresión de neurotransmisores como el glutamato, GABA, catecolaminas o la serotonina. Un factor involucrado en este consumo es la exposición al estrés en etapas tempranas de la vida que puede aumentar el riesgo en el desarrollo de trastornos de ansiedad y de adicción en el futuro. Esta revisión tratara la relación que guarda el estrés y el consumo de alcohol y sus consecuencias en los cambios ocurridos en los neurotransmisores.

This review study the relation between stress and alcohol ant their consequences on changes in the neurotransmitters involved.
