The auditory human system shows a remarkable ability to identify such patterns by identifying repetitions within complex acoustic signals. In this project, it is intended to implement, using MATLAB, a system for the recovery of repetitive time and frequency patterns from sound mixtures that contain interfering sounds. From an input musical segment, the user will select a time-frequency region in which they wish to recover the repetitive sounds in the musical segment and remove any undesired sound present in that region, a denoising task will be performed exclusively within the user-selected time-frequency region.
