Resumen
[ES]Actualmente la obesidad es uno de los principales problemas de salud en los países
desarrollados. La obesidad está relacionada con otras múltiples enfermedades como
pueden ser la diabetes, las enfermedades cardiovasculares, la hipertensión, la esteatosis
hepática o, incluso, ciertos tipos de cáncer.
El sistema renina-angiotensina es un importante sistema hormonal encargado de controlar la
presión sanguínea, el volumen extracelular y el balance de sodio y potasio a nivel general;
sin embargo, se ha descubierto la existencia del sistema renina-angiotensina en diferentes
tejidos como corazón, cerebro, tejido adiposo, riñón, páncreas e hígado.
El sistema renina-angiotensina está relacionado con la obesidad y otras patologías,
produciéndose variaciones en los niveles de sus componentes. Dichas modificaciones han
sido estudiadas con cierta profundidad en tejidos como el páncreas, el riñón o el tejido
adiposo; sin embargo, en el caso del hígado aún no existen muchos estudios. Por ello, el
principal objetivo de este trabajo fue estudiar las posibles alteraciones en la expresión
genética de los componentes del sistema renina-angiotensina que se producen en el hígado
