(ES)El objetivo fue describir las características clínicas, epidemiológicas, serológicas y morfológicas de la
Hepatitis Viral Crónica C en Pinar del Río. Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo y transversal
de abordaje cuantitativo que incluyó a todos los pacientes con diagnóstico clínico, epidemiológico,
serológico y morfológico de Hepatitis Viral Crónica C, que asistieron a las consultas de
gastroenterología del Hospital General Docente “Abel Santamaría Cuadrado” y el Hospital Pediátrico
“Pepe Portilla” de enero de 2010 a diciembre de 2020, a los que pudo aplicarse la encuesta clínico-
epidemiológica y desearon participar en la investigación. Las variables recogidas fueron: edad, sexo,
color de la piel, municipio, área de procedencia urbana o rural, factores de riesgo, síntomas clínicos,
alteraciones serológicas, hallazgos laparoscópicos y anatomopatológicos. Esperándose demostrar una
alta prevalencia de la Hepatitis Viral Crónica C en el territorio pinareño, factores de riesgo, áreas
territoriales más afectadas y respuesta terapéutica en pacientes vacunados.
(EN)The objective was to describe the clinical, epidemiological, serological, and morphological characteristics of Chronic Viral Hepatitis C in Pinar del Río. An observational, descriptive, and cross- sectional study with a quantitative approach was conducted that included all patients with a clinical, epidemiological, serological, and morphological diagnosis of Chronic Viral Hepatitis C who attended the gastroenterology clinics of the "Abel Santamaría Cuadrado" General Teaching Hospital and the "Pepe Portilla" Pediatric Hospital from January 2010 to December 2020, who were eligible for the clinical-epidemiological survey and wished to participate in the research. The variables collected were: age, sex, skin color, municipality, urban or rural area of origin, risk factors, clinical symptoms, serological alterations, laparoscopic and pathological findings. It is expected to demonstrate a high prevalence of Chronic Viral Hepatitis C in the Pinar del Río territory, risk factors, most affected territorial areas and therapeutic response in vaccinated patients.
