REALIDAD VIRTUAL COMO PRÁCTICA TERAPÉUTICA EFICAZ EN NIÑOS CON INTERNAMIENTO ONCOLÓGICO

Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende ofrecer soluciones terapéuticas basadas en la comunicación audiovisual y en las nuevas tecnologías. Fundamentalmente aplicadas a niños oncológicos en etapa infantil hospitalizados durante periodos de larga duración. Este tipo de hospitalizaciones crean tensiones y estados anímicos negativos en los niños, perjudiciales para la evolución terapéutica y para su bienestar emocional y psicológico. La realidad virtual (RV) ofrece posibilidades valiosísimas en el ámbito audiovisual con capacidad de aplicación en cualquier actividad humana, en este caso, consideramos que puede suponer una herramienta eficaz y novedosa en su utilización terapéutica dentro de estas unidades de hospitalización.

The present work expect to offer therapeutic solutions based on audiovisual communication and new technologies. Essentially, solutions applied to childhood oncological children hospitalized during long periods of time. These types of hospitalizations create tensions and negative moods in children, which are detrimental to the therapeutic evolution and to their emotional and psychological well-being. The virtual reality (VR) offers valuable possibilities in the audiovisual field with capacity to apply in any human activity, in this case of consider that this can be an effective and original tool in its therapeutic use within these hospitalization units.
