HACIA UN NUEVO CAMINO: HISTORIA DE VIDA DE UN SUPERVIVIENTE

Abstract

[EN] Con el presente trabajo pretendo exponer una experiencia de vida marcada por un episodio de adversidad, el cual dio lugar a un cambio de mentalidad. Hace 5 años, mi padre tuvo un accidente laboral y fruto de ello le tuvieron que amputar un brazo. A través de esta investigación narrativa, relato tanto aquellas experiencias previas al evento que, de forma directa e indirecta, forjaron la identidad de mi padre, así como las posteriores a ellas que reflejan su actitud y resiliencia frente a esta nueva condición física. Todo ello por medio de la elaboración de una historia de vida, integrada por narraciones y fotografías, contada desde el recuerdo de mi padre y el mío, para dar respuesta y mostrar de la mejor manera posible la verdadera dimensión de lo que supuso ese suceso para él y para todos los que le rodean.

[EN] With this work I pretend to expose a life experience marked by an episode of adversity, which resulted in a change of mentality. Five years ago, my father had an accident at work and as a result he had to have his arm amputated. Through this narrative research, I tell both those experiences prior to the event that directly and indirectly forged my father's identity, as well as those after them that reflect his attitude and resilience to this new physical condition. All this through the elaboration of a life story, integrated by narratives and photographs, told from the memory of my father and mine, to respond and show in the best possible way the true dimension of what that event meant for him and for all those around him.
