adecuado.
[EN] The presence of a possible relationship between cannabis and schizophrenia has been proven, with this drug acting as a precipitating factor in its development. Due to the high prevalence of cannabis use and the severity of a psychotic disorder, the objectives of this study were to study the role of cannabis in schizophrenia through schizotypal traits, abuse in use, and its influence on experiential avoidance. For this, a descriptive study was carried out with a total of 270 Spanish people. The results indicate a high level of consumption and dependence. Weak correlations were found between problem use and substance dependence with schizotypal personality, as well as moderate relationships between the presence of schizotypal traits and experiential avoidance. In conclusion, the need for new research that can demonstrate this association and thus provide adequate treatment is relevant.
