El presente trabajo de fin de Grado trata de una revisión bibliográfica de la realidad de la etnia gitana en el ámbito educativo, en el que tiene como objetivo principal conocer los procesos formativos de la etnia gitana en la formación (educación) obligatoria en España, especialmente en el siglo XXI. El pueblo gitano es la minoría étnica más antigua de España, sin embargo, las dificultades en la inclusión de estos menores gitanos en el sistema educativo condicionan paralelamente su integración en la sociedad mayoritaria. La asignación de roles familiares a temprana edad tiene consecuencias en la educación, ya que en la comunidad gitana tiene más importancia que la educación, y, como una consecuencia, puede aparecer el absentismo y el abandono escolar. Este trabajo tiene la finalidad de analizar y destacar el papel del proceso de escolarización de los menores de esta etnia, conocer que factores de riesgo tienen mayor relevancia para que se produzca esta situación, y analizar el fenómeno de que aunque existe un alto porcentaje de menores gitanos escolarizados, paralelamente existe una alta tasa de absentismo y abandono escolar
This end-of-degree project deals with a bibliographic review of the reality of the gypsy ethnic group in the educational field, in which its main objective is to know the formative processes of the gypsy ethnic group in compulsory training (education) in Spain, especially in the XXI century. The gypsy people is the oldest ethnic minority in Spain, however, the difficulties in the inclusion of these gypsy minors in the educational system parallelly condition their integration into the majority society. The assignment of family roles at an early age has consequences on education, since in the Roma community it is more important than education, and, as a consequence, absenteeism and school dropout may appear. The purpose of this work is to analyze and highlight the role of the schooling process of minors of this ethnic group, to know which risk factors are most relevant for this situation to occur, and to analyze the phenomenon that although there is a high percentage of children schooled Roma, in parallel there is a high rate of absenteeism and school dropout
